RoboEye

This is the beginning of the second week of the summer holidays and so far so good, well maybe I shouldn't get too excited seeing as it is only Tuesday today. My friend came round yesterday who I met when I was having baby number 7 and she was expecting baby number 2. This is only the second time that she has been round and this time I took the bull by the horns and told her about my OCD. Basically, I cannot cope if people wear their shoes in my house. It doesn't matter how much I self counsel myself I still have to talk myself out of freaking out. She was quite understanding and generally people are but you know what? I am proud of my OCD and I just don't care, shoes are banned from inside my house. When we were in our old house and I was getting broadband put in our loft conversion, I asked the telewest man if he would take his big black work boots off. He looked at me as if I were mad but that look soon changed when I blackmailed him with an offer of a nice cup of tea and big fat chocolate cake.
So the sun is shining and peace is restored in the house, temporarily anyway. My mum's robotic eye is on the mend even though everything is blurry and she was adamant that the consultant had sucked her lens out with his medical equipment. She seems to believe that this could be the reason why she cannot see and not the obvious answer that it has only been 4 days. I try to reassure her that he is the specialist and not her and that surgeons do not accidently suck body parts out with their equipment, 'oh no there goes her eye, nevermind she's got another one'..... I don't think so.
